My first event thread in ages. I've been to these shows held in the town centre a few times now. The number of cars on show seemed to be down on previous years but if this was due to the curse word weather or other factors I couldn't say. Nevertheless there were still some good cars on display so lets have a look.
1974 Plymouth Satellite or possibly Roadrunner. Remember those flashback episodes of the Simpsons where marge and homer are high school? Didn't Homer drive something remarkably similar to this?
This April is the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. as expected there were plenty of pony cars at the show. I can't get overly excited at Brit spec late models but I'll alays have time for a first gen as nice as this one.
Very nice "37 Ford" (which probably has no 1937 or early ford parts whatsoever) was a new one on me but is it British built or a US import?
Another view of the '37.
Two very different styles of Jag
Not actually my cuppa Rosie Lee but I'm sure there are some here who would love this. I'm guessing it's on some Land Rover chassis or similar.
Cosworth powered Moggy on a Q plate.
Do one it's the rozzers! Seeing a car like this in Yorkshire reminded me of the old TV series Heartbeat, which was set in the sixties and somehow ran for 18 years without time ever passing. I have a theory that it was actually some sort of groundhog day situation crossed with the land that time forgot, and the village was forever trapped in 1965 while the rest of the world progressed.
Amazing Suzuki Alto time capsule. There can't be many of these left especially in this condition.
