Our recent family holiday to Anglesey rekindled my toy car buying. We were at a carboot sale and one of the sellers was just selling old cars/toys etc. This pair stood out to me, they weren't together but close by. I'm going to restore the Impala and paint the caravan to match, there not rare so not too bothered. Also found this Frankenstein lego mini figure And picked these two up from the same stall.

Are there more posts of Your collection to come? Otherwise this would have been better in that yard/boot/fleemarket/or/whatelse/sale thread.

Yes there will be more, I have small collection I've started of very 70's custom vehicles, vans mainly. And I intent to document the above restoration and turn it into a diarama 👍

Love the Matchbox Flying Bug, one of my favourites!

Haha, I had both of those as well! The Opel was a bit of a favourite too. I think I had dozens of those Corgi Juniors vans, they made them for pretty much every business and franchise with different colours and stickers. They had cool round rear windows. They also made that style of van in 1/43 as well.

So my 9 year old has just got into building some of his model planes he's been collecting for a few years and it's inspired me to start some of my own.
I have these 2 kits I got from TK Maxx about 10 years a go, think I'm going to do custom builds. One a post apocalyptic mad max style and to other a jacked up 70s Street freak custom

The Mustang has been started as the Post Apocalyptic Mad Max inspired diorama. The rear cage is the roll cage from the car.

I stole the rear spoiler, exhausts and a wheel from the Camaro kit. With the spoiler added I reset the cage and added the spare wheel in the boot. Stole the blower from a sea king helicopter and the pulley from an old Vw beetle model. Then for no reason the side bulge is off another plane kit.

Couldn't resist this Mk2 Transit, going to get mated to a set of tank tracks

The transit/sherman tank is coming along well. Made a roof rack from scratch using the parts frame work and parts from the tank. Need to suss a way to mount the van to the tank tracks and what to do with the engine. Was thinking a big block V8 in the back of the van. I cut out some of the cill to lower the body thinking the tracks I was going to use would run within the inside of the van, that changed.

Had to nip into Asda living this morning and this caught my eye, out of the way on a bottom shelf! Aswell as model cars I collect Horror/Halloween toys so this ticked two boxes.
