Pick this one up this week as soon as I can arrange transport for it. Will be a work horse so will mostly be preserving it's unwelded belly and polishing up the faded paint. Will hopefully be adding some modulular steels maybe an inch bigger once I work out what's what with them. Looks like it will be 6x139.7. Not that many of these about any more and can't imagine there are many at all with only 60k miles and no welding.

I'm currently running a lowered Vw t5 on 20s for work and have had enough of crashing about. Seen a couple of sets of wheels I like for it. Some nice black modular steels that are fairly cheap new and there's a set of white weller look a likes near me going cheap that look like they would clean up alright. Need to suss out widths/offset etc first.

Being picked up first thing Saturday. Be interesting to see how well it polishes up. The few little bits it's needs are available at the main dealer still so that's a good start.

It's back local now. Responding well to the g3 compound on a mop.

My local Indian takeaway owner has a immaculate one of these for his cash and carry van. They're a cool looking thing.

All polished up. Tow bar removed and had a poke around underneath. There's a 3cm hole in the outer seal and everywhere else is solid just surface rust. Will be doing that tomorrow and putting the plates on then will be ready for mot. Has a Clifford alarm that needs sorting. Doesn't seem to want to do anything at the moment.

Would be nice if I could find some adaptors to make the spare set of Vw t5 steels I have fit this. They've only covered a few hundred miles.

Failed it's mot this morning but nothing drastic. Track rod end dust covers on both sides. Imbalance on the rear brakes and a head light bulb went during the test.
Have sorted the bulb and track rods and have freed up the brake and cleaned it all up ready for adjustments when I get 5 minutes. Hopefully that will be enough and it won't need a new cylinder.

Can't really grumble at that having been sat for a couple of years. It drives lovely bit weird getting used to the short gearing again but seems to go well.

Just been looking through the paper work. It has every mot and loads of reciepts with it. The imbalance in the rear brakes has been mentioned on and off since it was 4 years old with 8k on the clocks so I'm guessing it's safe to say something is not right and I presume it will be the self adjuster as they have managed to clean and adjust every time it's cropped up then passed it. Think I will order a full new set of brakes for it and hopefully stop that happening again, but adjusting them up should get it through in the mean time.

Common occurrence on these is the n/s rear brake adjuster winds off and people adjust the handbrake too take up the slack.Make sure the handbrake is fully backed off before you adjust the brake shoes.

It's the off side on mine. Teeth on the adjuster don't look all that clever but that's hardly surprising looking at how many times its been played with over the years. I'll adjust it up to match the near side tomorrow to get it through then get all new bits ordered to change when I get in the Arches to clean and protect it all. I've never actually replaced shoes and drums before but all looks fairly straight forward in there.

Love the polished result.
Good luck with the MOT.
